The Canary Islands recently held their "first annual architecture, art, and landscape biennial of the canaries". It attracted some well known Spanish architects and designers, as well as Rem Koolhaas [that man is everywhere]. While I unfortunately didn't realize it had happened until it was over, there are some interesting images and articles. I will definitely be looking out for the biennial next time.Thanks to Design Crack for pointing me in the right direction.
